Shot in the winter of 2001 by Carlington Silburn, Cold Ground won in the category of best documentary short at the 2003 Jamerican Film and Music Festival. Silburn was then a 24-year-old film student at The New York Film Academy.
The four-day Jamerican Film and Music festival, held annually in Jamaica, was once rated by E! Entertainment TV as one of the top ten film festivals in the world.
